COFFE2GO Passport

Give your MOKA GO regular maintenance

Limescale can gradually slow down the water flow and affect the final taste of your coffee. Regular descaling helps to keep your MOKA GO clean, reliable, and ready for your next journey.

Longer lifespan

Helps protect the internal system from deposits.

Stable flow

A clean system facilitates the even passage of water.

Pure coffee flavour

Less sediment means better preparation conditions.

How often to descale

The suitable interval depends on the number of coffees prepared and the hardness of the water you use.

1 – 9 cups of coffee per week 70 days

Standard use of a coffee machine.

10 – 19 coffees per week 45 days

Regular and more frequent use.

Very hard water More often

Adapt the interval to local conditions.

After descaling, run the coffee machine with clean water for at least two separate cycles without a capsule and without ground coffee.

Prepare a descaling solution

Use a descaler designed for espresso machines and follow the recommended amount.

Time for one MOKA GO cycle

First, add descaler to the tank, then top up with warm water to a total volume of approximately 80 ml.

10 ml descaler
Do 80 ml top up with warm water

Step-by-step descaling

Use the coffee machine without a capsule and without ground coffee throughout the entire process.

01

Check the coffee maker's charge

Before you begin, ensure MOKA GO has enough power to complete the entire process.

If necessary, charge it fully first.
02

Remove the coffee or capsule

Select the used capsule or ground coffee. The main holder and capsule adapter can remain in place during descaling.

03

Pour the prepared solution

Add approximately 10 ml of descaler to the reservoir and fill with warm water to a total volume of approximately 80 ml.

04

Allow the solution to act

Leave the solution in the system for approximately 10 minutes to allow it to start releasing limescale deposits.

Do not switch on the coffee machine during this time.
05

Start heated cycle

Place the coffee machine over a large enough container or sink. Turn on the heating and let the entire prepared solution run through the system.

Always perform the cycle without the capsule.
06

Rinse the tank

After emptying, rinse the coffee machine and fill the tank with clean, lukewarm water.

07

Start cold extraction

Double-press the button to start extraction without heating and let the full volume of clean water run through.

08

Perform a warm flush

Pour in clean water again and start heating. There is no need to wait for it to heat up completely. You can end the cycle when approximately two to three LED lights are on.

09

Complete the final rinse

Fill the tank again with clean, lukewarm water and start a cold extraction without heating. Let the entire volume run through.

The water at the outlet should be clean and free of the product's odour.

MOKA GO is ready

The descaling is complete. Before the next use, rinse the removable parts and let them dry.
